We serve breakfast all day til 10 p.m!
We encountered this gem of a 50's diner while stopping for fuel. It is nestled between the burgeoning megalopolii of Benson and Dunn, and could easily be missed. The menu offers plenty, the portions are generous, and there is a buffet for those with stretch pants. The staff makes you feel like family.I have heard that after 4 pm on weekdays, Richie Cunningham and the Fonz often drop by.
One of the BEST breakfast's we have had in a long time. Omelettes were amazing, hash browns cooked to perfection and the service was super friendly and very attentive. We will definitely be stopping here again, next time through.❤😀🐶😀❤
Great food reasonable prices.
Great food at a good price. I enjoyed it.
So my gf isn't allowed to pick any places to eat anymore. This place was terrible. She ordered the grilled chicken salad, however they only had fried chicken. It was supposed to have cucumbers and it's not even 11am and they are out of those too.The fried okra was basically left in the fryer.I picked up a ham, egg sandwich, cause who can mess that up right? Wrong, it was by far the flimsiest and weakest egg sandwich I've had aside from a hotel. The waitress knew absolutely nothing about the menu or what was on it. She's basically only had French toast her entire life. She couldn't even identify salad dressing that was right in front of her on the Buffett when she went to see what they had.I do NOT recommend this place. Find a Denny's.
I meant to include a review when I posted this photo several years ago, but it seems I did not. In any case, the food and service were great. I know there was one dish that stood out, but I don't recall what it was, so you'll have to discover that for yourself!
The food was great. Friendly waitress old 50s style diner real good prices right next to the pilot truck stop would comeback again
Fantastic as always ! Anytime I travel South on I-95 I always try to make it list diner for breakfast. Never disappoint.
I had liver and onions very good mashed potatoes and limas excellent food
Great food and lovely service. I came in for breakfast and ordered the ribeye steak and eggs breakfast. All of the waitress were friendly and all pitched in helping out one anothers' tables. My food arrived extremely fast and my medium steak and over medium eggs were cooked to perfection. If I am in the area again I will definitely be stopping in. P.S. The French Toast is amazing
The reviews for this place are spot on best breakfast ever. Good job chef!
Great Diner. Super nice folks. Will be back again!
Hot delicious food, great staff nice atmosphere. Real hamburger meat...
Came here due to good reviews but the food wasn’t up to par. Both my wife and I had the buffet and got sick. We both had things with cheese. I told her that the cheese didn’t taste right. Said something to the young lady all I got was eye roll. The buffet itself was not kept up cook was to busy watching tv. People acted like they didn’t care. Restrooms old and trashy. Some of the booths had holes in the seats. It’s sad that we can’t eat a decent meal without getting sick. And you have a 92 rating really?
Food is fresh and service is amazing. Will definitely be coming back for seconds!
Did we go to the wrong place???.. hubby ordered egg and ham breakfast and thought coffee was best part of meal. I got bacon cheeseburger and vanilla shake. My best thing to say is that it was filling. I understand why only one wait staff but should she take a smoke break outside when she has customers at 2 tables? The other couple had to go find her!!!!
Amazing food and hard working employee's great services I highly recommend eating there the waitresses deserve large tips for the kindness and hard labor they put into serving you and making you feel comfortable and satisfied
Smothered tenderloin biscuit; very tasty.
Very convenient to Interstate 95, my kids and I stopped recently for breakfast. We'd never visited the Milestone Diner and found it through an online review service. Impressed with the reviews, we had to try it.The fried tenderloin steak breakfast for me, pancakes for my oldest daughter and an all-day breakfast for my twins. Coffee, water and juice for our beverage. Classic old-style diner with a retro '50's look - place was clean and tidy. Not very busy when we arrived, which was about half way between breakfast and lunch. Ashley was our server. Food was plentiful, hot, tasty, and quickly served. Ashley was very polite and kept our drink cups full. Coffee and water for me - juice for my kids. I didn't know about the Milestone Diner before this chance visit, but will certainly visit again when traveling. William E. Lewis Jr.Vero Beach, Florida.
I enjoyed the décor with the jukebox upgrade at most tables and the 50s theme. The waitress was OK. Though should remember refills. Now for food... Sadly it wasn't amazing. Though the steak was flavored nicely and cooked right, it wasn't a good piece of meat. Alot of Grissel and fat. The veggies were flavourless and sadly couldn't eat broccoli. The soup and salad bar were very good. Enjoyed the freshness of the salad and condiments with it. The soup was amazing good flavors cooked perfectly.
I thought my burger on the edges of it was a little burnt but it was good & the fries were awesome. We got really great service from the Waitress! I would definitely go back to try other things on the menu.🙂
Being a solo diner, means a quite a bit of things, for me . I usually worry about the service and pacing of the meal. Quite honestly because hey I'm a one top. Tonight i walked in and was welcomed with a friendly hello and can I get ya a sweet Tea. I had breakfast at 1930 and it was freshly cooked, the home potatoes, the eggs, and the pork tenderloin was so good. The smothered gravy and biscuits made it better. Alexis was also an amazing and perfect waitress; she was attentive, proactive and friendly. I never needed anything while I dined here.. the cook was also friendly and so was another waitress there. Thank you Alexis for everything and to the diner for amazing food...this will become a regular stop on my route.
Had a good lunch I will definitely try it again
Their Fried Chicken is perfect.
I have tried this place several times..but the food just isn't good. I have tried many things on the menu and even tried the buffet. This is not home cooked..this is out of the can. You can tell they only use cheap ingredients and condiments. I wanted to like this place. I give it 3 stars because the people that work there are nice.
Always great food and service with a smile. Thanks Milestone
This is a great diner. The food has always been great whenever I go. We went when they had the buffet. The fried chicken was so flavorful. Their BBQ was great and all the veggies were cooked perfectly.
The past two days I placed a call in order for a sandwich. I waited about 10 to 15 minutes and arrived to get my food, and the waitress both days never put my order in. I would completely understand if they were busy but they were not. The waitress are to busy talking to each other to do the work. That's two times in two days. I won't waste my time ever again!!!
good food and price cant wait till things get back to normal and we can eat inside and try the buffet 😘😋
Cozy old spot for the old folks n kis might enjoy the fries n endless pop
My wife and I having been coming to this diner for the past few years, and we have always found the food, staff and atmosphere to be fabulous. The food is plentiful, the staff are friendly and the atmosphere is relaxing.Yesterday I tried their chocolate pie for the first time, and it took me back to the days when my mom would make chocolate pies. This pie was the closest to my mom's I have ever tasted, and she passed in 2012. I even got me a slice to go, which is unheard of for me.For simple food and a down home feel, I highly recommend this diner.
I always order the club sandwich. The gentleman who makes it gets it right everytime. I always order the bacon soft and extra mayo. The club is awesome!!!!! I try to get one once a week or 2-3 times a month.
Very friendly staff...good place to kick back after a long day ..food was great
Great food, good atmosphere, good service, truck stop next door so it can be a little busy with that but overall good experience for a trucker who's hungry for something besides truckstop junk!
This location is a little dated however that's part of it's charm. The staff was polite and the food was ok for the price. The food prices are reasonable in relation to what you get and not an overpriced highway location like many other places. Conveniently located off I95.
Food wasn’t too bad but the place needs to be cleaned. Salt and pepper shakers, sugar dispenser need to be emptied once in awhile and run through the dish washer.
Awesome service, clean and amazing burgers
Love this place. Homemade food, pretty good. Best thing is it's one of the few places where truckers can get real food, not McCrap from truck stops.
The food was great.. will have to come back so we can try the homemade apple pie (they were out today). Right next to truck stop so its trucker friendly.
Hands down one of the best diners in North Carolina! I doubt that you will find a better value for the money. Prices are extremely reasonable here, and the service was fantastic. I think that the cook made me the best hamburger steak that I've ever had! Our waitress was very helpful and friendly. I will definitely return to this place!! Great diner experience, even having those table jukeboxes at the tables.
Awesome meal. Nice someone knows how to cook food the right way. Staff friendly. I will be back here again next time I’m through this way. Keep up the great work
Good breakfast. Good service.
Very nice place.. my wife left her phone here.. they put the phone up and held it to we got back.. to make sure they gave the phone to the right person they asked questions to make sure and I like that cause it's a 1000$ phone
Nice little Dinner. Not busy and friendly staff. Food tasted great and prices were reasonable.
This is an awesome little diner right off the highway. Very inconspicuous, and the inside is so retro and cool. The service is what you would expect from a small Diner, but it was still good service. I had the hamburger steak, fried okra, and pickled beets and they were wonderful! Almost couldn't finish it. If you're looking for a little Nostalgia when you eating lunch or dinner, check this little place out.
Excellent food and quick and courteous service. Reasonable prices. We recommend this diner for a great meal.
I have been coming here to the Milestone Diner for years when I am in NC. I have been away for almost two years and went back last week. The owner and waitress and the chef remembered me. He even asked if I was going to have my special meal. The buffet is the best. Just go hungry and enjoy the spread. It is The Best Diner on NC.
Waitress really patient and very friendly polite I had asked for ginger ale they didn’t have only Pepsi products waitress suggested go next door to the store and grab what you want and come back and order. Buffet looked interesting but didn’t really feel like fried chicken beans etc. Went with a steak fries coleslaw prices are very reasonable here. The decor is very 50-60s era and you even have a juke box on every table and on the counter which I must admit haven’t seen in a very long time.
The waitress was very sweet, but the food was awful. On my Cheeseburger the tomato was green in the middle the lettuce was wilted and the burger was overdone. My mom ordered a baked potato it was really small and looked and tasted like it was recooked in the microwave, she also got the salad bar, that was awful too. Maybe we went at the wrong time. Love the atmosphere though
